• Matching Gift

  Many employers offer a matching gift program to eligible employees. If you or your spouse work for a matching gift company, your gift to ICS may be doubled or tripled simply by completing a form that is available from your employer. 
  
  As a donor, you will be credited with the total contribution, including your corporate match. Not only does the size of your gift increase, but you will be recognized in the category of the combined donation amount (your gift and your company's gift). • Stocks

  A gift of stocks (or bonds) is an easy way for you to make a gift. By making a gift of your appreciated securities, you can avoid paying capital gains tax that would otherwise be due if you sold these assets. Here are some of the potential benefits: 
  

  • No capital gains tax on donated securities
  • Receive a charitable income tax deduction 
  • Enjoy possible increased income
  • Further the ICS mission today!

  Once you have decided on the securities you will transfer to ICS, please complete and return the authorization form so that we can prepare an acknowledgment for tax purposes and properly steward your gift. Additionally, email the Advancement Office at advancement@indiancreekschool.org to alert us of the transfer so that we may follow up with you when the transfer is complete.
  
  

  Transfer appreciated securities by asking your broker to electronically transfer ownership of stock to ICS's account at Merrill Lynch: Account #571-04041, DTC 8862
  

• Real Estate

  A gift of your property (such as home, vacation property, vacant land, farmland, or commercial property) can make a great gift to the School. If you own appreciated property, you can avoid paying capital gains tax and receive a charitable income tax deduction by making a gift to ICS.
