Eagles Golf Finds Success in First Season Back in MIAA

Indian Creek's proximity to Crownsville's beautiful Eisenhower Golf Course has always seemed fortuitous to the golfers at the school. In recent years, ICS has fielded a golf club for students interested in enjoying the links on spring afternoons. After applying to the MIAA last year, the School was officially accepted to re-join the MIAA as a competitive golf team after almost 10 years of club play.  The Eagles are one of a few coed teams in the league.

While many teams ease their way in to competitive play, the ICS golf team made a splash their first match out, tying Jemicy - the undefeated reigning champion - in their first match and then soundly defeating Mt. Carmel in their second. A successful season has followed - the first winning season in school history! The Eagles currently stand third in the MIAA C Conference with a record of 4-3-1.

Additionally, Eagles golfers Joelle Johnson '25 and Zach Alford '25 have been nominated to compete in the MIAA Individual Championships later this month.

Best wishes to the team as they play Friends at the Mt. Pleasant Golf Course this afternoon.
