Maddie joined ICS for her freshman year in 2020 and is a big part of our performing arts community. Maddie was a student director for 2022’s “Brainstorm” and is also involved in the Empower executive committee, Key Club secretary, Vice president and co-founder of the robotics club, National Honors Society, Tri-M music honors society, Mu Alpha Theta math honors society, chorus, band, solo choir, tennis team, swim team, fall play, spring musical, mock trial, student tutor, STEM, and cross country.
Maddie’s favorite thing about ICS is “the community and atmosphere. Everyone here wants everyone to succeed and truly cares for each other. I also love the fact that everyone has the opportunity to do whatever they want like if you want to play sports and be in the musical ICS finds a way to make it happen.” Her favorite subjects are Solo Choir/Performing Arts and Science.
Her biggest personal achievement is “Having the honor of being selected to represent Indian Creek School at the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Conference. It was honestly one of the best experiences to be able to learn from so many leaders in our community and find out what type of leader I want to be in and outside of ICS.”
“My favorite and most fond memory at ICS was playing the narrator in Puffs last fall. The whole experience and journey to make that show possible was difficult but extremely rewarding. The cast instantly became like a mini family to me. I love each and every one of them and miss being at rehearsals with them every day.”
After graduation, Maddie is “looking forward to learning new things and being able to delve deeper into topics I am interested in and expand my knowledge.”
“Deciding to attend ICS for high school was one of the best decisions I have made in my life and I am so grateful for all of the friends and experiences I have gained here.”
