ICS Parent Education Series Presents…HOW COME WE'RE SO WORRIED ABOUT OUR KIDS? (AND SHOULD WE BE?) by NYT Best Selling Author Lenore Skenazy

Vos Family Academic Resource Center
ICS is excited to present an engaging and fun comedy show about parenting and child development with author Lenore Skenazy, this Wednesday, January 8, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., in the Vos Family Academic Resource Center.

We all love our kids, but in the past generation or two, something strange has happened: The same parents who were allowed to ride their bikes till the streetlights came on  -- and loved it! -- won't let their own children out of their sight. If you've wondered how this happened (not your fault!), what it's doing to kids, and the connection between increased supervision and increased anxiety – in parents AND kids -- here's your chance to find out! You'll also hear how all of us can fight the culture of fear and raise kids ready to boldly go beyond their comfort zones.  Lenore's lecture is smart, hilarious -- and life changing. Parents leave with new confidence in their kids, their parenting, and the world. BUT their cheeks hurt -- because they've been laughing so much. (Fun fact: Lenore used to write for Mad Magazine.)
