Lower School Enjoys Cozy Reading Cafe

On Wednesday, Nov. 20, Lower School ICS students got cozy in the cafeteria for their annual Reading Cafe! The cafeteria was decorated cafe style, including checkered tablecloths, placemats, and menus, creating the perfect ambience. A variety of books, selected by Lower School Librarian Ms. Amy Coleman, were spread out across the tables for readers from grades to choose from. Students sat with their Creek Buddies and dove into their favorite books, indulging in delicious hot chocolate and munchkins served by their teachers. After finishing their stories, students were encouraged to discuss their books with each other or even share with the whole group and rate it out of 5 stars. Indian Creek’s Reading Cafe was a success; it’s great to see ICS students so engaged and excited to read!
