Maryland Coach of the Year Joe Casalino Named ICS Varsity Boys Lacrosse Program Director

Indian Creek School is pleased to announce the hiring of Varsity Boys Lacrosse Program Director Joe Casalino.  Coach Casalino comes to Indian Creek following 23 years of head coaching experience at Northern High School (Owings, MD) and Thomas Jefferson HSST (Alexandria, VA).
 
During his time at Northern, Coach Casalino led Northern to a Maryland state championship in 2017 and three consecutive state finals appearances from 2017-2019. He was named Southern Maryland Athletic Conference Coach of the Year five times and Maryland Public School Coach of the Year in 2018. During his tenure at Northern, his teams won ten consecutive conference titles and held an incredible streak of 119-consecutive conference wins from 2010 to 2019. When Coach Casalino stepped down at Northern, he had amassed 255 career wins as a head coach.
 
Coach Casalino remains active as a player, coach, and administrator, supporting the growth of the game at all levels. As co-founder of Cannons Select Lacrosse and APLAX, he earned US Lacrosse Man of the Year twice in 2001 and 2013.
 
Coach Casalino holds a master’s degree in campaign management from George Washington University in Washington, DC, and a bachelor's degree in history from St. Mary’s College of Maryland where he was team captain of the mens lacrosse team. He owns V360 Fundraising, a strategic fundraising company serving non-profits nationally.

Coach Casalino shared his pride in joining the Eagles Athletics department: “As a proud parent of a student at Indian Creek, I am excited to support the vision of the school in building upon a boys lacrosse program that honors the game, enhances the mission of the school, and delivers valuable lessons through a competitive team environment.  This is a great time to be an Eagle and part of our growing lacrosse community.”

Coach Casalino will hold several meet and greets with Eagles players over the next few weeks.
